The Toronto Maple Leafs (officially the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club) is a professional ice hockey franchise based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They are members of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team is one of the "Original Six" league members. They are owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Ltd. and are represented by chairman Larry Tanenbaum. Their general manager is Dave Nonis. Their head coach is Randy Carlyle. In February 1999 they moved to Air Canada Centre, which replaced Maple Leaf Gardens, their home since 1931.

The St. Louis Blues are a professional ice hockey team in St. Louis, Missouri. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team is named after the famous W. C. Handy song "Saint Louis Blues", and plays in the 19,150-seat Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis. The franchise was founded in 1967 as one of the expansion teams during the league's original expansion from six to twelve teams. The Blues are the oldest extant NHL team that has never won the Stanley Cup.
